Observations from Targeted Poverty Alleviation Actions in Ethnic Minority Areas

China has established a strategy to completely eliminate poverty in rural areas by means of targeted poverty alleviation in 2020. We conducted surveys on Mushu Village, Benzilan Township and Hekou County in Yunnan ethnic areas by means of household interviews and observations. Several typical problems such as the identification of the most common poverty alleviation objects in poverty alleviation, the expansion of social trading circles and the problem of " cooperation” in targeted poverty alleviation are used as case studies to explore some practical ideas that can be overcome in poverty alleviation work.
