The Employment of Land-lost Peasants in the Process of Urbanization: Taking Xiaoxia Town and Gaozhai Town in Haidong City of Qinghai Province as an Example

With the acceleration of urbanization, a large amount of rural land has been expropriated by the state, which leads to the social problem of re-employment of land-lost farmers. Taking two representative towns, named Xiaoxia and Gaozhai, in qinghai province, as examples, this paper analyzes the employment status and causes of land-lost farmers from the perspectives of social security system, re-employment and self-employment problems, farmers ’ development vision, employment willingness and re-employment stability through field research. From the construction of social security system, the consummation of employment training system, the propaganda education and the transformation of thought idea,the safeguard of employment service system, the creation of good employment atmosphere, the development of rural economy for the creation of the employment post and so on, this paper proposes the countermeasure suggestion to the landless farmer re-employment question.
