Abstract
Social organizations, due to their flexibility, professionalism and other characteristics, make up for the failure of government governance to some extent in border areas. With the support from xishuangbanna committee and government, some non-government organizations have been established these years. They have played an important role in helping vulnerable groups, protecting the ecological environment, and inheriting ethnic minority's traditional culture. Whereas, there also some problems need to be fixed, such as immature social organization support system, weak self-development ability, strong administrative style and low social acceptance. Thus, non-government organizations in Xishuangbnan should build a strong support system, strengthen the self-development ability, de-administrate and improve social acceptance.
