Evaluation of Coordination Degree between Tourism and Urbanization in Border Areas in Yunnan Province

It is of great significance and value to study the interaction and coordination degree between tourism and urbanization system for promoting regional coordinated development. Based on the data from 2004 to 2016, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the coupling coordination degree between tourism and urbanization system in eight border cities and states in Yunnan Province by using the methods of entropy weighting and building a coupling coordination model. The study found that:(1)The comprehensive coordinated development degree of tourism and urbanization in eight frontier cities in Yunnan Province is obviously different, and the overall coordinated development level is not high; (2) The coordinated development state of tourism and urbanization in most frontier cities is in the running-in stage, and the synergy effect is weak; (3)The relative development state of Tourism and urbanization in Yunnan Province is as follows:the lagging type of urbanization development is in the majority; (4) Coupling coordination index is increasing, and the development trend is good.
