The Present Situation of Grassroots Public Cultural Services in Frontier Minority Areas:Take Yao'an County of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture as an Example

Prospering rural culture, rejuvenating rural civilization, and strengthening rural public cultural construction is an important part of the Party Central Committee and the State Council's implementation of the strategy of village rejuvenation. Because of the underdeveloped economy, backward infrastructure, and lagging cultural construction of rural areas in frontier minority areas, and there is a huge differences from the basic public cultural construction in economically developed areas. How to realize the integration of urban and rural cultural construction, and protect the basic cultural rights and interests of the majority of farmers is an urgent problem to be solved. This article takes Yao'an County of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province as an example, through on-the-spot investigations, questionnaire surveys, and collective interviews and individual interviews etc, and has a comprehensive understanding of the status of public cultural services in the nine townships in the county, and corresponds to national and local construction standards, uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the causes of outstanding problems, and proposes corresponding countermeasures, so as to provide reference and reference for rural public cultural construction in the county and other minority regions.
