A Research on the Acient Method of Oil Manufacture in Keshiketeng

  • China's oil manufacture technology can be traced back to the Han Dynasty at the earliest, and Tiangong Kaiwu has detailedly recorded the oil manufacture machinery and technology. With the development of modern mechanization, this primitive manual processing method has gradually been forgotten by people. Although an old oil mill in Changshan Village, Keshiketengqi, Inner Mongolia, experienced a variety of historical vicissitudes, it still preserved a relatively complete traditional oil extraction process. Through field research, this article combines literature data, records the traditional process effectively, describes the process of oil extraction detailedly from the ancient method of oil extraction, and compares the similarities and differences between the same type of technology in the south, the existing data for effective complementation.
