Characteristics and Inspirations of the German Higher Agricultural Education Serving the Society

  • German agricultural productivity ranks forefront of the world and plays an important role in economic society. It benefited from attaching importance to agricultural education and its social service. German higher agricultural education broke the limitations of urban and rural area or industries,and serving the society has the characteristics of attaching importance to be guaranteed by legal policy, emphasizing on practice, transformation of scientific research achievements and culture leading. Through comparative research and learning from Germany's experience, in order to improve the social service abilities of Chinese higher agricultural education and promote the agricultural and rural development, the following inspirations are put forward:the development of higher agricultural education in China should break down the binary system of cities and rural areas, make full use of social resources in agricultural education, create a favorable policy environment, improve the culture leading function of higher agricultural education, establish an efficient and feasible mechanism for the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, and pay more attention to train the practical abilities of the students.
