The Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Migrant Workers' Happiness in Construction Industry

Based on the comparison analysis between the new and older generation of migrant workers,this paper summarizes eight factors that affect the well-being of new and old migrant workers through literature research and expert interviews,using the statistical method through a questionnaire survey from eight construction enterprises in Chongqing, Chengdu, Jinan, Hangzhou, Xi'an, it describes the new generation and the old generation of migrant workers in the work of happiness. The ordinal logistic regression model was also established to explore the new features and problems of the factors affecting the well-being and to raise awareness of the well-being of migrant workers.The study found that:(1) at the present stage in heavy labor, rest and leisure time serious insufficient, lack of spiritual and cultural life of the phenomenon of the construction industry still exists;(2) the new generation of migrant workers work well-being is lower than that of the older generation of migrant workers;(3) compared with the older generation of migrant workers,the economic orientation of the new generation of migrant workers is weakening, and the individual orientation and development orientation is enhanced.
