Derivative Functions and Realization Conditions of School Education in Yunnan Province under the Background of the Belt and the Road Initiative: Based on the Survey from the burma students cross-border admission

  • Border schools have many functions, not only enlightening, educating the public, promoting the development of frontier society, but also building a cultural bridge between nations, disseminating Chinese culture, shaping perfect country image, and so on. By empirical research, this paper demonstrates the new functions of schools in border area under the background of Burma students cross-border admission in Yunnan province, such as promoting good-neighborly friendship and cultural communication, promoting the opening and internationalization of regional education, and promoting the economic and trade exchanges in border areas. It also presents that Burma students cross-border admission is facing some challenges, such as lacking of policy and management regulations, and Lack of sufficient conditions for running the school for recruiting Burma students, it is necessary to strengthen the government's responsibility and ensure the investment of education; to carry out policies and regulations to standardize the management of Burma students; to solve the problem of entrance high schools and higher education institutions.
