Multidimensional Poverty Measurement on Minority Areas in Guanghe County of Gansu Based on Accurate Poverty Alleviation

Recent years, Chinese poverty alleviation and development work made great achievements, but still have many challenges. Especially in ethnic minority areas, the poverty level is still serious,and the contradictions is still restricting its development.In order to improve the efficiency of alleviate penury and shake off poverty, the paper based on the multidimensional poverty measurement reased by Alkire and Foster, combining with the characteristics of Guanghe to chose poverty's dimensionalities and indexes, then build a model about multidimensional measurement.The results show that the generally poor exiting in ethnic areas, mainly caused by education level, housing condition, fortune and social relationship, etc. Under the new background of accurate poverty alleviation, the strategy of eliminate poverty must depend on enhance residents' human capital, increase capital accumulation, improve living environment and other measures to accelerate the process of poverty alleviation and development in minority areas.
