The Road to Move West and the Historic Significance of the Private Chinois-Franco University during the Anti-Japanese War

  • During the Anti-Japanese War, in order to save the lifeblood of Chinese higher education and the needs of the protracted war with the enemy, dozens of colleges and universities moved to the northwest and southwest which were on the brink of war. It promoted the development of the mainland culture education career and the spread of modern science and civilization. According to the archives literature, this paper takes Private Chinois-Franco University for example, discusses the process of westward migration, the situation of school construction, the development of democratic movement, the establishment of French radio, and the influence of westward migration on the historical significance of development of Yunnan province.
