Mango Industrialized Development in China

  • China occupies a great part of mango production in the world, up to 2014, the planting area is 17.32 ten thousand hm2 with a total output of 143.77 ten thousand ton, which plays an important role in the study of mango. By analyzing the planting situation in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan province, we find that mango planting in China has several advantages, including a suitable climate, large varieties and big planting area etc. Yet problems like single species, unsuitable match of species, poor post-harvest handling technology, low level of standardization and industrialization, poor information flow and weak infrastructure. This article gives following suggestions based on the problems:improving species and adjust varieties;increasing research investment and promoting deep processing;strengthening cooperation and establishing brand;establishing planting zones, developing leading enterprises and optimizing the industrial structure;establishing social services and marketing systems, developing e-commerce, solutions and suggestions to promote development of the mango industry.
