Study on the Institutionalized Political Participation of Villagers: A Case of Liangjiang Village of Zhaotong

  • The villagers' institutionalized political participation is conducive to the realization of the sense of the villagers' autonomy, it also can contribute to the construction of a new socialist countryside in China. The author attempts to provide suggestions for the institutionalized political participation of the rural villagers in China through the field studies. In this paper, taking the Liangjiang Village of Zhaotong City as an example, the author describes the present situation of the institutionalized political participation of the villagers mainly by questionnaire and interview method, then analyzes the existing problems and the causes, and puts forward the measures to improve the institutionalized political participation of the villagers.
