From Deconstruction to Reconstruction: A Probe into Black People's Self-Salvation in Beloved

  • Through the theory of deconstruction, based on Morrison's Beloved, this paper mainly analyzes the deconstruction of three binary oppositions respectively within the relationships between black and white, within the black community as well as within black people's inner world.Meanwhile,it explores Morrison's reconstructions of the three aspects in order to unveil black people's self-salvation in this novel and also, the writer's unique opinion on the issue of racial discrimination in America.Thus, the literary and social value of this novel can be revealed, as well as Morrison's outstanding position in the history of American literature.
