A Study on the Dilemma of Township Environmental Governance and Social Support under the “New Normal”: A Case Study of Huaiyuan County of Anhui Province

Since the implementation of China's Reform and Opening policy, the whole country has been being through a long period of rapid development. At present, with the continuous improvement in all aspects, China has entered into a period referred to as the New Normal, which differs a lot from the past thirty years. In the process of New Normal, our national environmental protection is required, which especially offers a higher level requirement on environmental governance. At the survey of environmental governance of Huai Yuan county, some problems emerge. This article highlights the value of environmental governance in rural areas under the New Normal and tries to build their social support system to make sure effective conduct will be virtually made to secure environmental governance project.
