A Study on Historical and Cultural Values and Protective Measures of Shengyuan Temple in Dali City of Yunan Province

  • Based on literature and fieldwork, the Shengyuan Temple is one of the early buddhist temple in Dali. The building has been rebuild from Kangxi Years of Qing, the original woodcut Baiguo Yinyou and the ink writing Baiguo Yinyou and Ashoka Brography were all there quondam. One of the most famous Benzhu temple Shendu is next to it, and they are core sites of Rao San Ling. The Guanyin Loft build in Ming used to be a clan hall of the Yang, and the Shanhua Stelle written by Fu Yang was originally placed there. These three buildings are not only important historical monuments, but also the typical carrier of Bai culture.
