Investigation on the De'ang Nationality Acid Tea from the Perspective of the Anthropology of Science and Technology

  • Based on the existing context of De'ang nationality, the study begins with the collation of historical documentation and depends on the relevant reports and document sorting, so as to master the origin and history about De'ang nationality acid tea very well, at the same time, this study expounds acid tea's significance through the creation epic and the myth; to obtain dates about selecting raw materials, processing tools and materials, technological process, storage method of manufacture, the study develops field investigation as well as interviews the local people, meanwhile, makes a record of manufacture technique of acid tea in view of the science and technology history of minorities; on this basis, through the social function of daily drinking tea and eating, as well as sacrifice and worship, interpersonal communication means owned by the tea culture, and disease prevention and cure function, the study takes further exploration on reasons of acid tea culture development.
