Digital Empowerment and Ecological Sustainability: Driving Mechanisms and Optimization Strategies of the “Camping +” Cultural Tourism Industry in Rural Yunnan

  • Against the backdrop of the “dual carbon” strategy and Digital China initiative, the rural “camping +” cultural tourism format has become an important carrier linking ecological value transformation and rural revitalization. To address the development bottlenecks of this industry, this paper takes Yunnan Province as an example, constructs a theoretical analytical framework of “technology-driven, ecological constraints, and format optimization” , and systematically explains the synergistic driving mechanism of digital empowerment and ecological sustainability. Using field research, in-depth interviews and policy analysis, an empirical study was conducted on 32 typical campsites across 16 prefectures and cities in Yunnan. The results show that digital technology promotes industrial upgrading through marketing promotion, operation management and product innovation; ecological sustainability achieves value increment through low-impact construction, clean energy utilization and cultural-ecological integration, forming a synergistic logic of “technology empowerment, ecological constraints and value enhancement” . At present, the industry faces four major bottlenecks: weak digital infrastructure, ecological overload, product homogeneity and industrial chain fragmentation. This paper puts forward optimization strategies from four dimensions: digital support, ecological protection, format innovation and industrial chain improvement, providing theoretical reference and practical enlightenment for the high-quality development of rural cultural tourism in border ethnic areas.
