Practice and Reflections on Leveraging the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Agricultural Universities to Promote Rural Revitalization: Based on a Case Study of Yunnan Agricultural University

  • As a highland of science and technology and talent, agricultural colleges and universities shoulder an important mission in empowering the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas through the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. This paper takes Yunnan Agricultural University, which has typical characteristics of border ethnic areas, as the research sample. Combined with its practice of the “Six one” model, it systematically analyzes the practical mechanism and optimization path of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in agricultural universities to assist rural revitalization. The practice of Yunnan Agricultural University shows that by establishing a multi-subject collaborative service system, enhancing the adaptability of technology for achievement transformation, optimizing the talent cultivation mechanism, and improving the multi-level social service system, a four-in-one development path has been formed, which effectively supports the development of characteristic agriculture on the Yunnan plateau. However, at present, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in agricultural universities still faces major challenges such as low collaborative efficiency among multiple subjects, deviation in the orientation of the current evaluation system, incomplete service chains, and insufficient refinement in policy implementation. To this end, this paper proposes systematic measures such as building an efficient collaborative system among government, industry, academia, research institutions and users, optimizing the scientific research evaluation model, improving the service network for the maturation of achievements, and strengthening policy coordination and guarantee implementation, providing replicable and scalable path models and practical paradigms for agricultural universities in border and ethnic minority areas to serve the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas through the transformation of achievements.
