The High Quality Development Level and Industry Differences of Agricultural Enterprises: A Case Study of Shandong Province

  • Based on the connotation of high-quality development, the high quality development level and industry differences of agricultural enterprises in Shandong Province were measured by the super-efficiency SBM-Malmquist index model. From 2017 to 2021, the high quality development level of agricultural enterprises in Shandong Province was above 0.9; The average level of high-quality development of crop industry was 1.058, showing the best performance. It was followed by agricultural and sideline product processing (1.019), animal husbandry (0.967), fishery (0.836) and forestry (0.770). From the perspective of dynamic evolution characteristics, Malmquist index showed an evolution trend of “alternating growth and decline” , with an average value of 1.004; The average value of fishery and agricultural and sideline product processing was higher than 1, and the level of high-quality development increased. Crop farming, forestry and animal husbandry showed a slight regression. The high-quality development level of agricultural enterprises in Shandong Province was good, with an average annual increase of 0.4%. Technological progress was the key reason for the improvement of the high-quality development level of agricultural enterprises in Shandong Province.
