Research on Basic Classification and Promoting Strategy of Sandy Land Agriculture in Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province

Since the 18^th CPC National Congress, the Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province earnestly implements the idea of ecological civilization of Xi Jinping general secretary, adheres to the close combination between desertification prevention and development of agricultural industrialization, effectively promotes desertification control, and uses various advanced agricultural science and technology to deeply develop and utilize sandy land resources. In the extreme arid desert area, the exploration and development of suitable economic forest and fruit industry, traditional Chinese medicine planting and processing industry, characteristic planting industry and aquaculture industry have formed a relatively mature sandy land agricultural development model, which has produced good ecological, economic and social benefits. The practice of developing sandy land agriculture in the Hexi Corridor has proved that developing sandy land agriculture vigorously in the same type of sand land and semi-desert areas in the northwest of China is an effective and selected path for modern agriculture development.
