Abstract
The treatment of rural domestic waste is an important task of implementing the strategy of rural revitalization, and it is also an important part of improving the rural human settlement environment. This paper takes the micro data of 458 households in nine cities in Fujian Province as an example, and uses the binary Logistic model to perform regression analysis. The results show that 92.36% of the interviewed farmers are willing to pay for the related costs of domestic waste treatment; environmental protection awareness and domestic waste cleaning frequency positively affects willingness to pay for domestic waste management at a significance level of 1%; education level and distance to garbage storage points significantly positively affect willingness to pay for domestic waste management at a significance level of 5%; age, family members and the evaluation of the village committee negatively affect the willingness to pay. In view of this, the willingness of rural residents to pay for the treatment of domestic waste can be improved by strengthening publicity and education, improving related supporting facilities, and improving the supervision system.
