Abstract:
The participation of rural households in rural tourism is of great significance to the development and construction of regional villages and the increase of farmers’ industrial income. The research on “capital-decision” of rural households lays the foundation for solving the rural households’ perceptions of rural tourism management. By collating 225 survey data of farmers in Anxi County, Fujian province, a binary logistic regression model was constructed based on social practice theory, and an empirical analysis of the factors of probability risk ratio of farmers’ willingness to participate in rural tourism management and unwillingness to participate in Anxi County. The results show that the economic, social, and human factors of farmers have a significant impact, and it is concluded that among the economic capital factors: annual household income, housing area, and tea garden/farm area of farmers; among social capital factors: relatives have village cadres, neighborhoods relationships, social interaction circles; human capital factors: work experience, education level, and number of rural tourism operators have a significant positive impact on the probability-risk ratio of farmers’willingness to participate versus unwillingness to participate. Finally, the article puts forward relevant suggestions accordingly.
