Abstract: In vigorously promoting urbanization and new rural construction process, government at every level is faced with how to protect the historical and cultural cities and their characteristics and cultural resources. This paper, with the investigation in the ancient village of Ganxian, Bailu, analyzes the problems in their protection and development, and the influencing factors. Then the paper proposes the rational planning of high quality, the relevant protective measures according to the law, the moderate development should be some of the ways to lay foundations for better protection and development of the ancient villages.
