Abstract: It is very important to design an effective evaluation system for examing the performance of agricultural technology extension in China. The authors attempt to investigate the performance of agricultural extension agencies in 17 townships of Wuping County from the farmers' perspective. This article constructs the measure model of performance in agricultural technology extension. The four aspects to build agricultural technology popularization performance evaluation system as follows: the generalization ability and level, the extension of benefit and efficiency analysis, the extension of satisfaction, as well as innovation and promote sustainable ability. The main contents include: identifying data sources and methods based on full investigation; designing the performance evaluation index system; the empirical analysis of the performance evaluation system in Wuping County, finally, exploring the agricultural sector to improve operating mechanism measures.
