Abstract: Either from the practical needs or policy-oriented point of view, new urbanization is the trend. By interpreting of new urbanization concept from the start, this paper finds that new urbanization plan has characters of people-oriented ideal and protection of the interests of farmers. It is showed that farmers received compensation for low, large differences between regions compensation efforts and interests of farmers growing concern by the analysis of the conservation status of the interests of farmers during China's traditional urbanization process. Based on which, some suggestions such as clearing meaning and subject of collective land ownership, adhering to the principle of voluntary farmers, improving land use efficiency and environmental protection, strengthening supervision and opening up channels for complaints are put forward to ensure new urbanization system to achieve the objective.
