Studies on the Chemical Constituents from Berchemia yunnanensis Franch

[Purpose] In order to investigate the chemical constituents of Bechemia yunnanensis.[Method] Compounds were isolated from 95% EtOH extract of B. yunnanensis by chromatography methods and their structures were identified by spectral analysis.[Result] Ten compounds were isolated from 95% EtOH extract of the plant. Their structures were identified as β-sitosterol (1), syringaldehyde (2), emodin (3), naringenin(4), 2-acetyl-1,8-dihy-droxy-6-methoxy-3-methyl-anthraquinone (5), quercetin (6), pinoresinol (7), (+)-catechin (8), syringaresinol(9),daucosterol (10), respectively.[Conclusion] All compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.
