Effect of Application of Phosphate and Synthetic Fertilizers on the Growth Traits,Yield and Quality Traits of Coptis teeta Wall.

[Purpose] The research about medicinal plant fertilization is very important for improving the yield and ensuring the quality of medicinal materials.[Method] The effect of application of phosphate and synthetic fertilizers on growth traits, yield and quality of Coptis teeta Wall. was determined by the randomized blocks design of three replications.[Results] The phosphate fertilization (35kg/hm2) would not improve C. teeta growth. Application of phosphate and synthetic fertilizers together[25kg/hm2 calcium superphosphate and 10kg/hm2 compound fertilizer m(N):m(P):m(K)=18:9:5] could significantly promote C. teeta growth (P<0.05).[Conclusion] It was on good quality premise that mix phosphate and synthetic fertilizers could accelerate C. teeta growth and increase yield significantly. This research offered the theoretical and practical basis for standardized cultivating measures of C. teeta.
